  • Whole-Person Approach

    A functional dietitian considers:

    • Digestion and gut health

    • Hormones and metabolic health

    • Stress, sleep, movement, and recovery

    • Genetics and epigenetics

    • Mental and emotional relationship with food

    • Environmental and lifestyle factors

Nutrition is taught as part of a system, not in isolation.

  • A functional stool test is a comprehensive analysis of gut health that evaluates digestion, absorption, inflammation, and the balance of bacteria, yeast, and parasites in the gastrointestinal tract. Unlike standard stool tests that look only for acute infections, functional stool testing helps identify root causes of symptoms such as bloating, irregular stools, food sensitivities, fatigue, skin issues, and autoimmune flares. Results are used to guide personalized nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement strategies to support gut healing and overall health.

  • Nutrigenomics testing analyzes how your genes influence nutrient needs, metabolism, inflammation, detoxification, and hormone balance. It helps explain why individuals respond differently to foods, supplements, and lifestyle factors, allowing nutrition recommendations to be personalized based on genetic tendencies rather than guesswork. The goal is targeted, proactive nutrition strategies that support long-term health and disease prevention.

  • Mediator Release Testing (MRT) is a blood test that measures inflammatory immune reactions to foods and food chemicals by assessing the release of mediators from white blood cells. Unlike IgE allergy testing, MRT evaluates delayed, non-IgE immune responses that can contribute to symptoms such as bloating, migraines, joint pain, skin issues, and fatigue.

Accuracy: MRT uses a patented, reproducible laboratory method with reported analytical reliability and consistency when samples are properly collected and handled. While it is not designed to diagnose food allergies, it is considered a clinically useful tool for identifying inflammation-triggering foods when results are combined with a structured elimination and reintroduction plan under professional guidance.

  • The SpectraCell Micronutrient Panel is a functional blood test that evaluates intracellular vitamin, mineral, antioxidant, and amino acid status to identify nutrient deficiencies at the cellular level. Unlike standard serum labs, it reflects how well nutrients are actually being absorbed and utilized by the body over time. Results help guide targeted nutrition and supplement strategies to support energy production, immune function, metabolism, and overall health.

  • Mold toxicity occurs when exposure to mold and mycotoxins disrupts immune function, detoxification pathways, and gut health, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, sinus issues, hormone imbalance, and chronic inflammation. Nutrition therapy supports recovery by reducing inflammatory burden, enhancing liver detoxification, strengthening gut integrity, and replenishing key nutrients. This often includes an anti-inflammatory, low-mold diet, adequate protein for detox pathways, targeted micronutrient support, and strategies to support the microbiome and immune resilience alongside environmental remediation and medical care.n
